SourceFuse Presents at AWS re:Invent – Cloud Security Simplified
From Nov 29 to Dec 03, 2021, the global cloud computing community gathered at the AWS re:Invent conference, hosted by Amazon Web Services, celebrating its tenth anniversary. An annual event, AWS re:Invent is designed to bring together developers and engineers, system architects and administrators, IT executives and technical decision-makers, to hear from, and network with, visionaries and thought-leaders.
This year’s in-person AWS conference was held in Las Vegas, with lots of quirky, fun activities, and also included virtual components for those who were unable to make it ‘live’. More than 1,500 sessions catered to everyone, from those completely new to AWS Services to those wanting to take their technical know-how and certification up a notch. With hands-on bootcamps, problem-solving workshops, self-paced labs, and more intimate sessions for building new code together, there was a chance for everyone to learn new skills.
AWS re:Invent 2021 staged a large variety of focus areas, with many keynotes and visionary speakers, as well as the Expo hall with more than 200 AWS Partner booths. The Expo hall featured live demos and presentations – a space to learn how AWS Partners build solutions for your business needs. This included Trend Micro, who invited our very own Kelly Dyer, SourceFuse Co-CEO and Co-Founder, to present Cloud Security Simplified at the Theatre Presentation section. Kelly started by sharing how SourceFuse takes pride in the broad range of digital transformation services available for its clients, and insights on what it means to be a leading AWS Advanced Consulting Partner.
He went on to talk about SourceFuse’s partnership with Trend Micro, global experts in cybersecurity. Incorporating best-in-class security expertise within SourceFuse applications means client data has never been more secure, with clients benefitting from:
- Reduced data security risks
- Superior regulatory compliance
- Enhanced visibility and management of threats
- Improved detection of data security risks
- Increased efficiency of issue resolutions
Describing the collaboration between SourceFuse and Trend Micro, Kelly reflected on how clients also benefit from well-architected assessments, based on the AWS Well-Architected Framework. The five pillars, operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization, provide the foundation for Trend Micro Cloud One Conformity, which in turn enables SourceFuse to deliver Cloud Conformity Infrastructure Reports.
Kelly finished by reflecting on the strength that comes with cloud technology partnerships and alliances, where the combined effect of working together is greater than the individual. The ability to implement superlative architecture security from Trend Micro, combined with first-class AWS Cloud infrastructure, enables digital transformation companies to provide enterprise-grade applications.
