Sponsored and organized by SourceFuse, this particular event took a deep dive into the world of enterprise data and analytics. Attendees, drawn from a great local tech community of innovators, heard from two very well-known local Jax enterprises and how they have taken on this mission.
They presented the types of cloud technologies that enabled the execution of a large-scale healthcare data cloud migration, maintaining the strictest of security. We also heard how the mountains of data generated by an enterprise can be effectively managed at scale leveraging the right cloud technologies available.
Featured Enterprise Speakers
Michael Privat, V.P. Digital & Cloud Migration at Availity, shared cloud migration insights from one of the nation’s largest healthcare data networks. A company that is no stranger to challenges of big data and security, he described the strategies and tools they evaluated, and the approach used to create real world value from their data. He demonstrated how, by securely and anonymously extracting the data then migrating it to the cloud, it empowered data analytics and deep learning.
Michael Vitti, Senior V.P. Data and Decision Science at PGA TOUR, described what it takes to extract business intelligence from vast amounts of incoming data from a huge variety of sources. He gave us a fascinating look into how cloud data migration at PGA Tour has enabled enterprise data analytics, turning shot data, fan data, social data, viewing data, mobile app data, survey data, etc. into actionable intelligence. There are virtually no data and analytics tools that Mike has not explored or used for the PGA, and he shared how other businesses can take advantage of his learnings.
